Curling is a centuries-old sport played by delivering heavy granite rocks down a long sheet of ice. The act of throwing a curling stone straight and the correct distance does not require brute strength, but it does demand good technique, balance and coordination. Practice is essential for beginners and indeed for anyone wishing to improve their play.
Ice rinks are necessarily cold. This was the team’s first time playing a sport under sub-zero temperatures. However a few ends of vigorous sweeping, they realized that they didn’t need any more warming up!
