After months of focusing on individual projects, our very own Varshini Balaji finally stepped into the world of hackathons. She recently participated in a hackathon hosted by MetaMorph and her experience is a fantastic example of the passion, collaboration, and innovation that thrives at Techtinium. Varshini’s team, aptly named “GPT-5”, was formed just two days before the hackathon. Despite the short notice, they impressed everyone with their “intent, preparedness, and willingness to try new things.” Their problem statement, centered around the challenges and opportunities presented by Generative AI, pushed them to explore new functionalities with a “fail-fast” approach.
Her team’s hard work paid off in a big way! They secured a spot in the Top 10 overall, and even landed in the Top 2 for their specific problem statement. A huge congratulations to Varshini and her entire team!
The pre-hack prep session, the nervous energy while waiting in the registration queue - it all culminated in the intense six-hour coding sprint. The atmosphere was the one that fostered 'energy, curiosity, and a 'let's figure it out somehow' attitude.
